Dear Grace Foundation friends and volunteers,

Wow! It has been quite an amazing few months...from youth programs, life science camps, to our new Ride and Shine family; not to mention the dozens and dozens of animals that have arrived at Grace since the beginning of the year. There has not been a minute to sit and catch our breath. But nothing could have prepared us for the response we would have to The HELP Rescue Me Trainers Showcase. In March, we were wondering if we would have even one trainer sign up to participate. Never could we have imagined having thirty four enthusiastic trainers come forward. Then the biggest surprise: the trainers took FIFTY of our rescued horses!

That was only the beginning. After that came the planning, preparation, and unbelievable patience that it would take to develop something that had never been done; and then put on a show and three days of competition. The results.....The event was a huge success, far better than I could have ever dreamed of. And it was all due to the amazing family of volunteers and supporters we have at Grace. There are so many of you who participated at Expo or who came out to the ranch and cared for the animals while we were gone; and then there are all of you who spread the word about Grace and attended the Trainers Showcase. I couldn't begin to list everyone who helped, but there are some special thank you's that I would like to share.

The following volunteers jumped in to help us make the Trainer's Showcase a successful event from the start and were our team leaders and coordinators: Dave Fulton, Sheree Stein, Phoebe Crais, Margie Rudd, Sharon Meriam, Lisa Molera, Kathy and Kahele Kukea, Ron and Jeanne Warr, Cori Resha, Teresa Daly, Dave Reynolds, Mikki Barham, Mair Auerbach, Marina Towne, Christy Samboy, Kristin Bryant and Jean Acosta. And a special thanks to Linda Bak who made this all possible by organizing our first annual HELP Rescue Me Trainers Showcase.

Our judges were true professionals and wonderful to work with. They are David Lichman, Lyndie Tanklage, Gina Miles, Faye Brophy, Rebekah Witter, Joell Dunlap and Jonni McDougall. A special thanks to the Western States Horse Expo for hosting our first annual event at Cal Expo. And a final special thanks to all of our supporters and donors who have helped to support us since Day One at the Grace Foundation.

This Showcase is the first of 6 that we will be doing in the next 18 months and the possibilities are endless for what it could mean to Grace, and far more importantly is what it could mean to rescued horses all over the country. We truly have the best volunteers and supporters EVER!
