Melissa Kalember is a USEF R Judge in Hunters & Hunt Seat Equitation, SAHJA Judge, USHJA Certified Trainer, and Certified Equine Massage Therapist and Reiki I Master. Melissa is also CoChair of the USHJA National Affiliate Committee and serves on the USHJA Regional Affiliate Committee for Zone 10. Melissa obtained her B.S. from UC Davis in Animal Science in 2007, specializing in Equine Science.

Melissa furthers her education attending clinics, taking lessons and judging shows. Melissa operates her training business of Kalember Equine at a private facility in Sebastopol. The team of Kalember Equine attends local hunter/jumper shows, trail rides, has an IEA team and loves their horses! Melissa has been feeding Stable Mix to her equines for over a decade and knows it’s a contributing factor in her happy, healthy horses.

Melissa will be discussing from a judge’s perspective how healthier, happier horses stand out in the show ring. Achieving a well-turned-out horse will make good first impression, showing integrity to horse & the sport.
