Brendan Wise and his magnificent horse Lyric are the world’s opinion on what is seen as impossible, as they take bridleless riding to a level never before seen. Brendan believes that bridleless riding is not just for tricks and exhibition, but can also be a viable system for competition. Lyric and Brendan are the first in history to compete at the upper levels of showjumping bridleless, entering competition against bridled horses and competing as equal alongside them. They have competed to the National Grand Prix level, and aspire to show the world that the impossible is indeed possible!

Brendan’s philosophy and method of horsemanship is influenced by his extensive experience in many disciplines including Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Reining, Working Equitation, and Racing. Drawing wisdom and tools from all these disciplines has helped Brendan develop a unique skill set that helps him approach horse training in a very open-minded way. Keeping the integrity of the mind and body of the horse, and building it up as an athlete is extremely important to Brendan, along with finding a deeper connection with these amazing animals.
