Dr. Jim Garfinkel is the owner of At Farm Veterinary Services. Riding horses since he was two years old, Dr. Garfinkel has ridden and trained horses in many disciplines including: Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter/Jumpers, Dressage, Eventing, Cutting, and Thoroughbred Race Horses. Dr. Garfinkel’s love for horses, and his lifelong commitment to them, has made him a strong proponent of a whole horse approach to equine veterinary care. Having been on the front lines of the 2011 EHM outbreak with a horse of his own being infected, and conducting quarantine procedures at the time for 20 horses, Dr. Garfinkel has experienced the importance of biosecurity not only as a veterinarian, but as a horse owner and competitor as well. Dr. Garfinkel has a reputation of explaining to his clients all the options available in an easy to understand and respectful way. He brings this same approach to all his lectures.
