Marcia Smith, DVM, DACVIM is a veterinary specialist in small animal internal medicine and a lifelong equestrian. She competed in endurance competitions from 1990 through 2013. Her career highlights included 3 Tevis wins (1992, 1997, and 2001), Haggin Cup win in 1992, team and individual gold medals as well as the best condition award at the North American Championship in 1995, team gold at the World Endurance Championships in 1996, and team silver at the Pan American Championship in 1999. Marcia currently trains and competes in dressage on her 15-year-old Irish Sport Horse That’s Finnegan, and her 6-year-old Welsh Cob SanFran Brenin DU.
