Susan & David Hartje, of Saddles That Fit!, have been fitting Western, English & Endurance saddles full time since 2002. They focus on educating clients while helping find the best saddle possible, or improving the fit of your current saddle, with flocking in English, or strategic shimming in Western. They have 10 different makers in their fitting van, but will help fix any saddle. And the horse always has the final say.
Susan’s saddle fitting education includes studies with Master Saddlers and Equine Experts, including Frank Baines, Andy Sankey, Dr. Kerry Ridgeway, Dr. Joyce Harmon, Harry Whitney, Mark Rashid, Dr. Deb Bennet, Jillian Krinebring, Susan Harris, and others. However, her best teachers are horses.
Susan is also a Certified Centered Riding Instructor and Equine Cranio Sacral Therapist. She utilizes her knowledge of Integrated Equine Health and Balanced Riding to assist clients in riding more effectively.
David’s Animal Handling and Educational background, combined with his saddle repair and mechanical skills, keep the business running smoothly.
