Interested in learning more about Cowboy Dressage and how to better your relationship with your horse, as well as your riding skills? This new and fun discipline is all about training and riding with a soft feel and kindness, benefitting both horse and rider mentally and physically. The Cowboy Dressage clinics offered at the Western States Horse Expo in May will help riders develop communication and trust based on gentleness and cooperation — regardless of your riding goal or discipline.
Here’s a great opportunity to participate in a variety of Cowboy Dressage clinics with two of the founders of Cowboy Dressage, Eitan Beth-Halachmy and Lyn Ringrose-Moe. These two top trainers will offer four different clinic topics at the Western States Horse Expo, May 9-12 at Murieta Equestrian Center for riders of all levels and horses of all breeds. And mules are more than welcome!
Part of the philosophy of Cowboy Dressage is to educate and help horse people of all skill levels. “It’s the goal of Cowboy Dressage World to help make your dreams with horses a reality. We’re here to support you through education and fun!,” smiles Eitan. “We want people to experience ‘soft feel,’ a sensitivity and awareness between horse and rider. That’s why the educational part of Cowboy Dressage is so important for us to teach and for people to experience. We invite riders from the very beginner to the highest level. Everyone and every horse or mule is welcome!”
Eitan Beth-Halachmy
Eitan Beth-Halachmy has been praised and applauded around the world for his grace in the saddle. Known as a true artist in horsemanship, Eitan is often heard saying about Cowboy Dressage: “When dressage suits your needs but a Stetson fits your lifestyle.” Eitan has headlined the largest expos around the world, including Equitana USA, the International Equine Congress in Brazil, the World Equestrian Games in Germany and Kentucky, and numerous other noted events. He has produced instructional videos, has written two books and been featured in a number of others, and Eitan and his riding and training principles and methods have been featured in top magazines throughout the United States.
Lyn Ringrose-Moe
Lyn Ringrose-Moe is a classically-trained dressage rider who, after years of riding dressage and training dressage students, decided to immerse herself in Cowboy Dressage. Since childhood Lyn has always admired the traditional California bridle horse, a riding style she also pursued that now gives her a leg-up in Cowboy Dressage. She says of this discipline, “I love to ‘cross dress’ from the traditional dressage world, while exploring the traditions of the California bridle horse.” In addition to teaching and judging Cowboy Dressage, one of Lyn’s passions is bio-mechanics of both horse and rider. She is dedicated to balanced horses (and mules!) with balanced riders, while always having fun. And if you want to see her eyes light up, ask her about her (gorgeous!) mule.
