Elliot Holtzman was born and raised in North Texas. From horsemanship to crafting fencing and barns, playing piano and understanding primitive survival skills Elliot holds a variety of knowledge. Being an entrepreneur since he was a teenager, Elliot took as much time as he could afford to work as an intern with colt starters and horse trainers in the industry. He has successfully competed in numerous colt starting competitions, ranch horse events, and competed in the 2021 Snaffle Bit Futurity. Elliot is an adventurer at heart and in 2024, he and a couple of friends completed the Gaucho Derby—a 500kilometer horse race across Patagonia; the ultimate combination of horsemanship and survival.
Together, Caitie and Elliot Holtzman own and operate Versatile Horsemanship, LLC in Nocona, Texas. Their operation is a horse training and instruction-based business centered around starting colts, teaching clinics, and training Liberty horses. Both compete in NRHA Freestyle Reining, Cow Horse and Versatility Ranch Horse events, and are top competitors in the Liberty horse sport. Horses have taken the pair coast-to-coast, border-to-border, and around the world; from time spent holding clinics in Africa and Germany to starting colts in competition at Heart of the Horse in Canada. Caitie and Elliot owe much of their journey to the horse and people God has placed in their lives through the horse. The pair have been performers and presenters at events such as Liberty Festival, Road to the Horse, Equine Affaire, Art of the Cowgirl, and are excited to be a part of the 2025 Western States Horse Expo. The Holtzman’s aim to combine the art of horsemanship with exciting entertainment in their presentations, clinics, and performance.
